Roses are red... (ft. Flower Frenzy)

ditlredcover.jpg

Today I'm returning to the simplicity of the old blogging days by sharing some snippets of a morning made less prosaic with a personal delivery of a bouquet of roses. (Thanks, Flower Frenzy!) Definitely took my styling cue from the roses and as it so happened, I had plenty of red inspiration to draw from...

Getting ready for the day

True to form, beginning with me "putting my face on", as my dad likes to put it haha. I definitely don't really feel human until I have my eyebrows on. Warm, fiery tones are all the rage lately, and I'm loving a mix of red and burgundy for the eyes and lips. I'd say I picked it up from my trip to Seoul last month but it appears the hype isn't limited to this side of the world. Just look at the latest Urban Decay release--the Heat palette which I've been seriously considering...

Everything's coming up roses

Who doesn't love receiving flowers? They're thrilling enough already on special occasions but when you get a bouquet on just a regular day, it kind of seems that much more special. I was quite kindly sent this bouquet by Flower Frenzy, one of the city's best florists bent on a mission: to make sending flowers in Hong Kong simple. (In a way it's kind of like sending happiness, isn't it? Maybe that's just me being fanciful, haha.) They offer a huge range of bouquets in terms of different flowers as well as budget. They even do same-day delivery if you're the forgetful type, (or perhaps you've really messed up LOL). I felt quite conspicuous carrying this bouquet back up to my place--it's definitely not everyday you get roses delivered to your door!

A real pop of colour

Anyone who knows me knows that I am an all-black-wardrobe kind of person. But look at what we have here--a red bag! This one's even more special to me because I bought it in Korea--it's by Los Angeles Project, a Korean fashion brand inspired by Hollywood styles and whose main spokesmodel I am a huge fan of--Lee Sung Kyung, model, actress and beautiful human. (I swear, finding the right model is so important for brand image.) I love Korean-styled fashion in general, so this bag was a great find (plus it was on sale, buahaha). Also, this bag is the perfect size to fit everything in while making sure I don't take my entire life with me when I go out--definitely a favourite for months (and years?) to come.

Let me know what your favourite flower or colour obsession is at the moment over on Instagram, and wishing you all a lovely week/end!

PS/Full disclosure: I kindly received the bouquet from Flower Frenzy in exchange for blog coverage. All opinions are, as always, my own. Thank you.
